this reminds me of the seinfield episode where Jerry's girl was always naked around the apartment. Jerry eventually got turned off watching her do house chores naked.

Public nudity, illegal now, but what God wants of his perfect people!
by free2beme ini was driving down the road last summer, on a mountain highway that gets very little traffic.
i turned this corner and there was a couple, late 20's or maybe early 30's, walking down the road holding hands and completely nude.
while it was out of place, i could not help but remember that had the new system been real, and the witness teachings would have found fulfillment.

Fading scheme?
by Double Edge ini've never been a dub, but the thought just occurred to me after reading several fading posts.
what would happen if you had your records transferred to a spanish speaking congregation (if you only spoke english).
by the time they got around figuring out who you were, could you then have it transferred to another language congregation, and then another, until it becomes a record that is too difficult to figure out and gets put in a "dead-end" file?

Bethelite at hall dedication, system may not last until "Deliverance Conv."
by daystar inthrough various contacts, i heard this was said by a good bethelite at a local hall dedication.
(i won't quote what was said... i don't want to give away my source.).
plans are being made to attend the deliverance convention in july.

got to love the boys from bethel. I remember back in the 90's the big thing for bethelites to say was this suspect quote from freddy franz claiming he made the statement in prayer about how he wanted to live to the year 2000 so he could see the fall of babylon the great. needless to say his prayer went un-aswered.

Does Jehovah Witnesses have the worst teachings?.
by GodisRight inthe dubs condem all other denominations professing faith in christ as apostates.
they teach that christendom will suffer destruction as a part of babylon the great by the hands of god.. however, here is the thing.
my recent findings suggest jehovah witness falsely interpret and bend scriptures out of context more than any other religion i have come in to contact with.

I have to answer your ? with a ? Have you ever explained witness beliefs to a friend of yours (not a witness of course)? I was telling a good friend of mine about how WT$ says its not good to go to college and his mouth literally dropped. Another note now that I am free of witness thinking I feel like an idiot every time I tell someone about witness beliefs. It is appaling that I used to take stock in such things as 144,000 going to heaven, the validation of the revelation cl;imax book and others.

the begining of the end
by whatawaste ini would like to ask for some help if that is ok, first ill exsplain my situation.
im 19, male, and for the last 1-2 months have been to no meetings at all, due to all this stuff with the un and many other things.
i was on the phone the other day to one of my close (well i thought so) friends, and we were talking, you see he is from another town and had no idea of me not attending meetings.

If you search thru this forum you will find all sorts of info on the UN thing, someone even has a letter from the WTS saying basically, yeah we did join, but just so we could go to the library big deal. The problem is while your friend says he will read only facts most dubs take this info as something made up. I have had people say well they had a good reason to do it or how do we know that letter came from the society. That the true obstacle you must over come...a mind that is made up before you even say anything.

Film Scenes that got burnt onto your memory
by greendawn inwhat were some film scenes that pleased or horrified you so much that they stayed vivid in your memory for a long time?
the one i always recall is the scene where anthony hopkins (playing as hannibal lector) lobotomised ray liotta (paul krendler) cutting off pieces of his brain and giving them to him to eat.
he also took some of liotta's cooked brain in a plane and gave them to an unsuspecting passenger boy sitting next to him to eat.

1st off Digital F I agree with you about Empire strike back, but for me the scene is when OB1 gives luke his fathers light sabre and the luke ignites it.
another one in superman when the spaceship carrying kal-el breaks the glass and than the music kicks in.

now i had a father that was at the forefront of the society's activites, and i know about some of the "perks" that come with that.

Elders comment regarding "apostates" at WTS 3 weeks ago
by XBEHERE inhe basically said that these opposers will even use wt literature to draw you away from jehovah but they use it out of context and misquote it.
the majority of the articles used on the internet that i have read either on here or other sites to prove how stupid the doctrines are have the entire article posted so how is that out of context?
such a hypocritical statement when this very tactic is peppered throughout their literature to begin with.

Since I've been out its amazing how eye opening contemporary sources can be. I've really become a fan of shows on the history channel that deal with biblical times and stuff. It is very informative to look at true bible scholars break down and analize the scriptures. when I look back to when I was into witness leanings, I would have thought ohh those people arent telling the truth or their confused. Now I think, these are people who have dedicated their lives to research and exhaustive study, not only of the scriptures, but the history of the land the events occured in, as well as archeological evidence to back up their findings. So the question for dubs who think any evidence that doesn't justify the WT$ agenda is false or the work of the devil, is this. Would someone who has dedicated their life to acedemic study and facts lie about their findings and conclusions?

I once had a person tell me that I was cheating him at UNO (the card game) by using the rules (which I had taken out of the box to show him what I meant.) some people no matter what you show, tell, or beat them across the head with will never believe what they were hit with. A person convinced against his will (or the WTS's), is of his own oppinon still.
